I believe therapy to be a collaborative journey - it is the dynamic of the therapeutic relationship that helps the counselee find a new perspective. Working with clients in a time of increasing uncertainty has led me to realise that a relational approach is the most fruitful for facilitating growth; that we are all in this together.
For me, this very much resonates with the We Psychology of Fritz Kunkel, who said: 'The real self is not "I" but "We"'.This understanding is at the heart of my practice, and I believe sums up what is so needed in today's world.
